Curriculum
Worthington schools employ a standards-based structure that connects vertically and horizontally in order to provide spiraling, equitable training for all its students.
Administrative decisions are made by a team of school board members who seek to increase accountability and communication amongst teachers and support staff throughout the district.
In order to provide the best instruction possible, school board members meet to discuss efficient allocation of their available resources and strive in all things to maintain stringent standards for their institutions.
School Board
The school board of Worthington strives to create collaborative relationships amongst various communal agencies including parents, teachers, and staff members.
The school board meets every third Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at Worthington High School and encourages the full involvement of its constituents.
School board members work to increase options in order to promote and enhance the vision and goals of the district.
These board members visit every building in the county at least twice a year, participate in meetings with stakeholders and community members, and orchestrate administrative changes in order to enhance public programs.

Prairie Elementary School
This brand new educational facility was constructed near Lake Okabena in 2000 and currently enrolls roughly one-thousand students. The staff and faculty are highly qualified, passionately devoted professionals committed to providing educational and recreational opportunities throughout the year. Prairie Elementary features highly effective programs and lives up the mission of partnering with parents to ensure top-quality learning foundations for each of its students so they may mature into independent, responsible, life-long learners.

Worthington Middle School
WMS seeks to further the solid foundation provided by the area’s excellent elementary schools by taking students one step further and assisting adolescents develop into responsible citizens and life-long learners. They accomplish this by supporting their academic, physical, and social developments through robust curricular and co-curricular programs as well as by providing comprehensive programs for athletics, career-counseling, and mentorship. Faculty of the fine Worthington Middle School see themselves first as student advocates and work alongside pupils and their parents to achieve their full potential. WMS makes it their primary goal to aid students in acquiring skills, knowledge, and attitudes paramount to their academic and professional success.

Worthington High School
WHS continues the educational journey of students in Worthington and prepares them for their final step toward adulthood by advocating positive attitudes, strong habits, and active citizenship. This fine educational institution located in nearby Sheldon Iowa offers over forty academic programs to help students make the transition into higher learning. Minnesota West Community and Technical College
This proud communal learning center has provided students an opportunity to fortify their technical skills and academic foundations for over seventy years. Minnesota State College and University
Originally established by a special executive order in 1991, the Minnesota State College and Universities system has grown into the single largest provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota consisting of thirty-one institutions; twenty-four two-year colleges and seven state universities. This system operates fifty-four campuses in forty-seven communities and serves roughly two-hundred and fifty-thousand students!
